The Chelsea and Ivory Coast striker has been linked to both Milan clubs this summer as well as Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid, buthe club have yet to receive an official approach for the 30 year old striker.

AC Milan’s technical director, Leonardo who made his name whilst at the Rossoneri in the late 90′s and made 60 appearances for Brazil says both Drogba and Adebayor are high on the club’s wish list.

AC Milan have also stated Kaka will not be leaving the club in the near future, after being linked to a move to Chelsea.

Didier Drogba has scored 50 Premier League goals and 17 in the Champions League in his 4 years at Chelsea since signing from Marseille for £23.8m in July 2004.  He is most famous for falling over and making a big deal out of the slightest or not contact with opposition players.

With rain expected and coming down earlier this afternoon, it wasn’t until 14.35 local time that Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal started.  Rafael Nadal struck first blood, breaking Federer’s serve in only the 3rd game.  Nadal faced a break point in the ensuing game but held on and went into a 3-1 lead.  Some excellent serving in the 5th gave Federer the game to love.

Each player held serve up to 5-4 where a thrilling 10th game went to Rafael Nadal, taking his 3rd set point after having had to face 2 break points.  Nadal had constantly and cleverly served to Federer’s backhand and constantly beat Roger in rallies throughout the first set with immense forehands, taking the opening set 6-4.

Federer took a early break in the 2nd game of the 2nd set with a superb cross-cort winning and rallied into a 3-0 lead.  Nadal didn’t break back until the 7th game and held onto his own serve afterwards to tie the set 4-4.  Nadal then broke an edgy Federer and served out the set, 6-4 having taken 5 games straight.

The first 2 games went with serve and at 30-0 on Federer’s serve in the 3rd, Nadal slipped awkwardly.  After calling the trainer on after losing the game no medical treatment was given and Nadal was happy to continue.  Despite this and Nadal facing break point in the 4th game he held onto serve and tied the 3rd set 2-2.  Federer held onto his next service game and Nadal had to save 4 break points in the next to tie the set 3-3.  Roger Federer then took 5 points in a row from being 0-40 on his own service game.  Both players held onto serve up to 5-4 in the 3rd set before the 1st rain delay.

This may not have gone down too well Gwen Stefani in attendance!  Although maybe the tennis didn’t either, we only saw her smiling once or twice whenever and often looking bored and miserable when she was in camera shot!

The players came back onto centre court after the rain break and restarted the action at 18:10.  Federer was unable to return any of Nadal’s first 3 serves but fought back to deuce only to lose the game shortly after.

Both players won their next games comfortably and setup a 3rd set tie break.

 The first 5 points went with serve before Federer took an important 5-2 lead going into serve.  He took 1 of his service points that left him with 3 set points.  Nadal saved both on his serve before Federer aced him to win the tie break 7-5 and the 3rd set 7-6.

All 12 games in the 3rd set were held by the servers without any break points being face.  There were some great serves, shots and rallies.

Roger Federer broke Nadal in the opening tie break point with a fantastic rally.  Nadal then broke both of Federer’s serves for a 2-1 lead.  Nadal held his next 2 to take a 4-1 lead.  Rafael Nadal took 1 point from Federer’s serve to take a 5-2 lead and going into serve.  Rafael Nadal double faulted the first and netted the 2nd allowing Federer back into the match 4-5 down.  Nadal was unable to return either of Federer’s serves to give the Swiss champion a set point of his own.  After a long rally, Federer’s forehand-winning attempt sailed just wide: 6-6.  Nadal also held onto his 2nd serve to give him a Championship point on Federer’s serve.  Federer belted his serve and Nadal could only cushion the ball.  Nadal then broke Federer’s serve with a stunning forehand winner running across the baseline.  Federer saved it with a fantastic backhand up the line: 8-8.  Federer also broke Nadal’s 2nd serve to give himself a set point with his serve coming up.  Nadal’s return was too long from the serve and Federer won the tie break 10-8 to take the set and the match to a 5th set.

Games went with serve in the 5th set until the 2nd rain break of the day at 2-2 40-40 on Federer’s serve in the final set!
 

It was only a short rain break and when the players came back out, Roger Federer took the 5th game with 2 aces. Service games were a bit tight, but held by the server without break points, up to the 10th where Roger Federer was 15-40 but managed to win 4 points in a row and take a 6-5 lead in the final set.  Rafael Nadal held onto his serve to make it 6-6.  With no tie breaks in the final set the match had to continue until either player took a 2 game advantage.

Nadal had 0-30 lead in the 13th game of the 5th set but Federer held his nerve and held his serve.  Every point in this 5th set and most through the whole match were met with loud cheers.  Chants of “Roger” and “Rafa” were often heard during changeovers.  The fans were fantastic!

Nadal held his serve and then went 15-40 up in the 15th game.  An ace from Federer saved the first break point and an overhit shot from Nadal saved the 2nd.  When Federer faced a 3rd break point in this game, he saved it with an unreturned serve.  Unfortunately he couldn’t save the 4th break and left Nadal serving for the match…

Chants of “Rafa” were heard during the changeover as new balls were rolled out.  Nadal lost the 1st point but brought it to 15-15 with his first serve and volley of the match.  Nadal took the 3rd and Federer the 4th: 30-30.  A misshit backand during the 5th point gave Rafael Nadal his 3rd Championship point.  But a superb backhand return from Federer saved him again!  An unreturned serve setup Nadal for Championship point number 4 and a shot into the net by Federer gave Rafael Nadal his 1st Wimbledon Title.

With a huge roar from the crowd, he fell to the floor in celebration before walking over to shake Federer’s hand.  He then climbed up into the crowd to hug his parents, got a Spain flag thrown to him and then walked over a roof to the royal box for more hugs!  After coming up short the previous 2 ocassions, this one meant so much to him.  Congratulations to Rafael Nadal on his 2nd Grand Slam of the year.

Lewis Hamilton got off to a great start from 4th position, overtaking Mark Webber and Kimi Raikkonen and even ahead of teammate Heikki Kovalainen for a split-second before having to settle for 2nd place.  That only last for another 5 laps until he overtook his teammate for good, despite having more fuel.

The most-impressive driver in qualifying, Mark Webber, who started in 2nd place on the grid dropped to 4th at the start before spinning a few corners later and dropping down to 18th.  Ferrari’s Felipe Massa also span on the opening lap and then fell back into last position after a 2nd spin on lap 4.

On his final Formula 1 Grand Prix, David Coulthard, who announced his retirement earlier this week’s race lasted just 1 lap before he and Sebastien Vettel clipped each other and ended on the gravel.

On lap 22, both leaders Lewis Hamilton and Kimi Raikkonen headed into the pits together.  Before the pitstops, Raikkonen was flying closing the lead on Hamilton but he came out with the wrong tires and was losing 8 seconds a lap afterwards.

A few laps later and Nick Heidfeld put a lovely move on Fernando Alonso and moved into 3rd.

In the last 25 laps there were numerous spins, one of which cost Nelson Piquet Jr who was having a good race in 5th at the time.

Felipe Massa (for the 3rd time), Mark Webber (for a 2nd time), Kimi Raikkonen (twice) all span but were all fortunate not to cause any damage and continue in the space of 5 laps.

With 20 laps remaining, Robert Kubica span out of the race, Jenson Button retired and Nico Rosberg lost his front wing in the rear of someone’s car (but got safely to the pits for a replacement).

Lewis Hamilton was flying after that on his intermediate tyres with the rain calming down and took a comfortbale victory infront of camera-attention seeking Gordon Ramsay (and his family) and Davina McCall enjoying themselves, watching the race live at Silverstone.  He goes joint top of the Drivers Championship with Felipe Massa who had a disasterous drive today, finishing out of the points spinning 4 times throughout the race.

Lertcheewakarn quickly levelled up the first set though by taking the next 3 games but Robson importantly and comfortably took the 7th game for a 4-3 lead.  Laura then broke Noppawan’s serve and comfortably served out the first set wih a great dislay with her left forearm.

Robson broke Lertcheewakarn’s opening service game of the 2nd set, but the Thai junior broke straight back and then went into a 2-1 lead in the 2nd set with some excellently placed shots.  But this topsy-turvy set took another twist after Robson held onto her own service game she broke again in the 5th, taking advantage of a 2nd break point.

Down 15-40 in the 6th game of the 2nd set, Laura saved 2 break points, the 2nd with an outstanding forehand across court.  But she couldn’t take advantage of 2 advantage points she had and eventually lost the game on a double fault before slamming her racket into the ground.  She looked frustrated after that and lost the next 2 games to love and 30 respectively.  Leerthcheewakarn held her serve to make it 4 games straight and take the 2nd set 6-3.

Robso came out refreshed at the beginning of the 3rd set and then breaking Leertcheewakarn in the 2nd game with some good forehand shots like she was showing in the first set and some help from her opposition netting a few shots (and maybe some help from the wind on the final point!).  Robson failed to tke a 3-0 lead, losing her own service game on a double fault, but broke Leertcheewakarn again to take a 3-1 lead, before saving a break point in the next and taking it to a 4-1 lead in the final set.

Laura Robson took the next 2 games to win the match and Wimbledon Girl’s Championship 6-3 3-6 6-1, the first British girl to win this title since Annabel Croft in 1984.

Laura’s strong serve and great forearm shots shows she has potential to go far in the women’s game in future years.

Serena looked frustrated at herself towards the end of the opening set and that continued throughout the match.  There was a strong wind throughout the contest that often delayed serves and affected shots.

A frustrated Serena Williams returned Venus’ first serve up the baseline for a superb winner.  Serena went up to 0-30 in the opening game but Venus fought back to take the opening game of the 2nd set with a ladies Wimbledon record serve of 129mph.  Serena held on to her own serve before breaking Venus in the 3rd set for a 2-1 lead.  But Venus broke straight back.  Each sister held onto their own serve after that up to the 10th and final game where Venus took advantage of her 2nd match point when Serena ends the rally with a shot in the tramline.

Venus Williams celebration was quiet as always when one wins between the two and gave her younger sister a hug at the net.

Roger Federer won the last 2 against Nadal in 4 and 5 sets respectively.  Tomorrow’s game may well be 4 or 5 sets again, but it’s going to be Federer who wins 3 of them.

Nadal knows and has admitted he will have to be at the top of his game to stand a chance.  But whatever he can do, Federer can do better.  Only Federer has not dropped a set at this years Championships and he has hardly had to break a sweat.

It is worth noting that Roger Federer looked more comfortable beating Marat Safin, who has been playing at his best in these championships, than Rafael Nadal looked beating a tired Rainer Schuettler.

Rafael Nadal also had footwork problems in that semi final match and his knee isn’t at 100%.  You’re not going to beat Roger Federer if you’re not at 100%, and tomorrow Rafael Nadal will not beat Roger Federer.  Federer will lift his 6th straight Wimbledon Championship on Sunday afternoon.

Both ladies have had a lot of success at Wimbledon and will partner up after the match for the Ladies Doubles final.  Venus is the current champion with Serena not having won the title since 2003 when she came from a set down to defeat her sister.

Both ladies have cruised to the final and have been by far the best 2 female competitors at this years competition.  They have met each other 15 times with Serena leading the series 8-7 and more importantly 5-1 in Grand Slam finals, the last being 5 years ago here at SW19.

Serena Williams got to the final by beating Kaia Kanepi 7-5 6-3 in round 1, Urszula Radwanska 6-4 6-4 in round 2, convincingly beating 2006 Wimbledon Champion Amelie Mauresmo 7-6 6-1 in round 3, Bethanie Mattek in round 4 6-3 6-3 before thrashing promising Agnieszka Radwanska 6-4 6-0 in the quarter final and then defeating giant-killing Jie Zheng 6-2 7-6 in the semi final on Thursday.

Venus got here by beating Britain’s Naomi Cavaday 7-6 6-1 and Anne Keothvong 7-6 6-2 in rounds 1 and 2 respectively before going on to beat Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez 6-1 7-5, Alia Kleybanova 6-3, 6-4 in round 4, Thailand’s Tamarine Tanasugarn 6-4 6-3 in the quarter final and the disappointing Elena Dementieva 6-1 7-6 on Thursday.

Neither have dropped a set in this years Championships.

Before Liverpool, Kewell spent 9 successful years at Leeds United where he was their highly-rated left winger and part of the successful Leeds team that made the Champions League semi final in 2000/01.

Harry Kewell has made 36 international appearances for Australia to date but hasn’t featured recently because of injuries and lack of game time.

Federer is now unbeaten in 65 consecutive matches on grass and goes into the final on Sunday as favourite.

The once brief world number 1 (Safin) was comfortably beat 6-3 in the first set by the current long-time world number 1.  It could have been embarrassing after that but Safin showed a lot of pride and took the 2nd set to a tie break which he lost 7-3.

Safin never looked in it after that and Federer duly took the 3rd and final set in 25 minutes, 6-4.

Federer goes into the final having not dropped a set so far in this Championship and is on course to take his 6th consecutive championship here.

Roger will meet Rafael Nadal in Sunday’s final for a 3rd consecutive year.  Federer has won on both previous ocassions, in 4 and 5 sets consecutively.

Nadal also won his semi final with ease, although not as comfortably as Federer.  He cruised to a 6-1 first set lead and seemed to relax after that.  Rainer Schuettler broke early in the 2nd set and wasn’t broken back until he was serving for the set at 5-4.  After that the set went into a tie break where Rafael Nadal took it 7-3.

Once he broke Rainer Schuettlers serve in the 3rd set and take a 2-1 lead there was no way back.  Rafael Nadal was a clear and deserved winner 6-1 7-6 6-4.
